Former Boston Red Sox shortstop Don Buddin has died at age 77 in SouthCarolina.
Buddin spent five seasons with Boston, hitting a career best12 homers in 1958, before moving to the Houston Colt 45s and DetroitTigers in 1962.
Kelton Floyd of Floyd Funeral Home in Olanta, S.C., saysBuddin died June 30.
