The Celtics' G-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, acquired a former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick.

Anthony Bennett, a 6-8 power forward who was the first pick of the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2013, is considered one of the NBA's biggest draft busts. Still only 24, Bennett played collegiately at UNLV and bounced around four NBA teams the past four seasons (Cavs, Timberwolves, Raptors and Nets) and averaged 4.4 points in his 151-game NBA career.

He was cut by the Phoenix Suns in training camp and was playing for the Northern Arizona Suns, Phoenix's G-League team, who traded him to Maine on Thursday. In 14 games with Northern Arizona, he averaged 11.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Bennett is technically a free agent available for a call-up by any NBA team, including the Celtics.
