The NBA will not discipline the Cavaliers' JR Smith for his shove of the Celtics' Al Horford in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Smith was whistled for a flagrant-1 foul (giving Horford two free throws and the Celtics possession of the ball) rather than a flagrant-2, which would have resulted in Smith's ejection.
Smith's push of Horford led to an altercation between Smith and the Celtics' Marcus Smart. Technicals fouls were called on Smith and Smart. The Celtics won 107-94 to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Game 3 is Saturday night in Cleveland.
After the game, Smart called Smith's shove dirty.
