Kevin Garnett and Kevin McHale have always seemed to have an understanding of one another, so it's no surprise that McHale didn't have a problem with the firestorm surrounding Garnett and Carmelo Anthony.
McHale had some strong feelings about trash talk in general:
"So some guy says 'hey I'm gonna kick your rear end', or 'whatta ya got' or 'you can't guard me.' All of a sudden now somehow in our politically correct world that's bad? If you heard half the stuff that we used to say... I chuckle at that. So he says he's gonna kick your butt, here's the thing, tell him 'no you're not' and go out there and play against him. So he talked some smack, big deal."
