Former Cubs outfielder Marlon Byrd received a 50-game suspension on Monday for testing positive for Tamoxifen, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Byrd, who was released by the Red Sox on June 12, is currently a free agent.
