Patrick Kane reached the 100-point mark for the first time in his career as the Blackhawks were beating the Boston Bruins 6-2 through the first two periods on Sunday afternoon.

Kane entered Sunday’s game with 96 points but it didn’t take him long to get four more. He recorded his second career regular-season hat-trick with just over five minutes remaining in the second period, and that goal gave him 100 points for the season.

Kane is the first Blackhawks player to record at least 100 points in a single season since Jeremy Roenick collected 107 points during the 1993-94 campaign.

The Blackhawks’ right wing currently has a 12-point lead over Jamie Benn, who has 88 points.
