SUNRISE, Fla. -- Defenseman Duncan Keith (left hand) will be out tonight as the Chicago Blackhawks face some of their former teammates with the Florida Panthers tonight at BankAtlantic Center.
Keith is listed as day-to-day, and coach Joel Quenneville said theyll re-evaluate to see whether Keith can play Friday at Tampa Bay. Keith was injured in the second period of Monday nights 5-4 overtime victory over Nashville. Sean ODonnell is expected back in the lineup on Thursday he was paired with Nick Leddy. Steve Montador could see some penalty-kill time in Keiths absence.
Daniel Carcillo, back in the lineup after serving his two-game suspension Saturday and Monday, will start on the fourth line with Marcus Kruger and Jamal Mayers. Viktor Stalberg, who has three goals in the last two games, will stay with Jonathan Toews and Andrew Brunette while Patrick Sharp joins Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa.
Corey Crawford gets the start against the Panthers, who are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference.
The Panthers have found early success, as have some of the former Blackhawks now with them. Defenseman Brian Campbell and forward Kris Versteeg, both part of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup run, lead the Panthers with 11 points each. Versteeg has five goals and six assists while Campbells have all come in assists.
