Bastian Schweinsteiger got an amusing lesson in what being a famous soccer player is like in North America.
The German is by far the most world famous player on the Chicago Fire, but that doesn't mean he will be stopped in the streets in the U.S. and Canada.
The Fire arrived in Toronto on Thursday ahead of a match at Toronto FC and apparently got stopped by a women looking to snap a photo with some professional athletes. Little did she know the most famous player was the one taking the photo instead of being in the photo.
Fire assistant coach Eric Gehrig shared the social media gold.
The players probably had a good laugh over that one.
In the photo is forward Michael de Leeuw, goalkeeper coach Aleksandar Saric, goalkeeper Jorge Bava and midfielder Djordje Mihailovic. Hopefully Schweinsteiger enjoyed not being the center of attention.
