Former Bull to be named Defensive Player of the Year

The Knicks' MVP this season is said to soon be named the NBA's Defensive Player of the year.

According to Yahoo, Tyson Chandler will receive the league's award on Thursday at the team's practice facility.

The New York center recorded a .679 field goal percentage, averaging 11.3 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game.

Chandler played with the Bulls from 2001-2006.
