Local college basketball is back on CSN on Saturday as the Missouri Valley Conference has an important contest.
Southern Illinois travels to Loyola in a game that can be seen live on CSN at 1 p.m.
Loyola (16-8, 6-5) is coming off of a one-point overtime loss to Missouri State as the Ramblers had a three-game win streak snapped. Senior Milton Doyle, a former Marshall product, leads the Ramblers in points and assists while junior forward Aundre Jackson is one of the nation's leaders in field goal percentage.
Southern Illinois (13-12, 6-5) is coming off of back-to-back wins as the Salukis are led by senior guard Mike Rodriguez.
With both of these teams sitting tied in a three-way tie with Missouri State for third place in the Valley, Saturday's game could have a lot of important seeding implications for the upcoming conference tournament.
These two teams will also play again on Feb. 25 at Southern Illinois.
