Big changes are coming for the 49ers ... equipment manager.
Earlier this offseason the NFL announced that they will loosen their jersey restrictions, allowing players to choose from a new range of numbers.
Among the first 49ers to make the switch, are safety Jaquiski Tartt and corner Jason Verrett, who both announced/teased changes to their numbers for the upcoming season.
Tartt's change from No. 29 to No. 26 does not take advantage of the rule change, as that number was previously allowed although taken by former running back Tevin Coleman. Verrett on the other hand, is switching to a number that he wore in college.
You know what they say: "If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good. If they pay good, you live good."
