Although the 49ers won't be playing in Super Bowl LV on Sunday in Tampa Bay, it's never a bad time to look back at Nick Bosa's dominant performance in what was a narrow defeat for the 49ers against the Kansas City Chiefs, who will be looking to repeat this weekend against the Buccaneers.
Bosa's effort landed him among Pro Football Focus' "most notable" Super Bowl performances of the PFF era (2006-present).
"The rookie lived in the Chiefs’ backfield, generating a whopping 12 QB pressures — most in a Super Bowl — that included one QB hit and one sack. Here’s hoping the 49ers star returns better than ever next season," PFF's James Fragoza wrote about Bosa's big day.

Bosa was all over eventual Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, even blowing past former No. 1 overall pick left tackle Eric Fisher and stripping the superstar, although Kansas City would recover.

The rookie put together a postseason to remember, tallying four total sacks and two pass deflections to go along with the single forced fumble.

Bosa was expected to take the next step toward being one of the NFL's best pass-rushers in 2020, but a torn ACL in a Week 2 win over the New York Jets ended his second season prematurely.
The 23-year-old has been hard at work rehabbing ever since. General manager John Lynch said in January that Bosa was making great progress in his recovery.
“Bosa is doing great in his recovery he had a significant injury to his knee but like everything in life, he attacks it head on and 100 percent,” Lynch said. “The only thing with him is pulling him back so he’s not doing too much.
“He’s making tremendous progress, we’re very pleased with where he’s at.”
