The 49ers on Monday signed former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Matt Tobin and re-signed defensive back Antone Exum.

To make room on the 49ers’ 53-man roster, the 49ers placed safety Marcell Harris (hamstring) and running back Jerick McKinnon (torn ACL) on injured reserve. Harris is a candidate to return to play later this season.

Tobin played four seasons with the Eagles and appeared in 42 games. He was signed by the New England Patriots in March and was released this weekend. Tobin has experience at guard and tackle. He will wear No. 64.

Exum, who was among the 49ers’ cuts this weekend, will wear No. 38.

The 49ers also announced other new jersey numbers changes from the preseason:

32-DB D.J. Reed Jr. 32
33-DB Tarvarius Moore 33
46-RB Alfred Morris 46
