Even though 49ers' No. 2 pick Nick Bosa was at the top of Todd McShay's big board, there's a player the 49ers drafted who the ESPN draft analyst loves even more from a value perspective.
McShay raved about the 49ers' second-round pick -- wide receiver Deebo Samuel at No. 36 overall.
"I love Samuel and this was a good spot to get him," McShay wrote on Saturday. "He will be a playmaker for Jimmy Garoppolo, competing for balls in traffic and picking up yardage after the catch."

Samuel, 5-foot-11 and 214 pounds, was a touchdown-scoring machine in college at the University of South Carolina. He caught 11 touchdown passes his senior year and 16 over four years. But Samuel also scored seven rushing touchdowns in his college career and four kick returns for scores.
"He's just really fun to watch with the ball in his hands and is a physical receiver who is built like a running back," McShay wrote. "Every time he touches the ball, there's big-play potential."
Selecting Samuel adds to an interesting group of wide receivers that will have to compete for playing time. He's expected to join Dante Pettis as a starter, but after that, it's a mystery.

The 49ers also selected receiver Jalen Hurd, 6-5, 226 pounds, who can help in the passing and running game. The two new draftees join Pettis, Marquise Goodwin, Kendrick Bourne, Jordan Matthews, Trent Taylor, and Richie James looking for playing time.
With Samuel in the mix, McShay is optimistic that the second-round pick can give the 49ers offense a needed jolt as the team looks to make a playoff push in 2019.
