NFL Draft 2020: 49ers' estimated contracts for five-player rookie class

Share

With the 2020 NFL Draft over, the 49ers now will have to work on signing their five-player rookie class. The ratified NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement will play a part in that as well.

All rookie contracts are for four years, and first-round picks can get a fifth-year option. For the 49ers, that includes defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (No. 14 overall) and receiver Brandon Aiyuk (No. 25 overall). San Francisco would have to activate Kinlaw or Aiyuk's fifth-year option before their fourth year in the league begins.

The way the CBA is written, which runs through 2030, there no longer are reasons to negotiate base salaries. But terms like bonuses and other incentives still can be worked out.

NFL salary cap website, Over The Cap, estimates the 49ers will have a rookie pool of slightly more than $7 million in 2020, via 49ers WebZone

From Kinlaw to seventh-round pick Jauan Jennings, here's how Over The Cap estimates four-year contracts, signing bonuses and 2020 salary-cap figures for each of the 49ers' five draft picks.
