Odell Beckham Jr. is a Brown. That's still a weird sentence to type.
And what the Browns offered to Giants GM Dave Gettleman was what he calls an "offer we couldn't refuse." That offer from Cleveland was the No. 17 and 95 picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, plus former first-rounder Jabrill Peppers.
The 49ers could have done better than that, right? Well, it sounds like they didn't have a chance.

NBC Sports' Peter King reported Monday morning that once the Giants received the Browns' offer, Gettleman didn't shop it to the 49ers in an attempt to up the ante from San Francisco.
John Lynch and the 49ers tried their hand at making the star wide receiver a 49er. Gettleman told reporters on Monday that the 49ers were the ones that called on an OBJ trade, not the other way around.
Gettleman affirmed the 49ers were clearly interested in trading for Beckham Jr. But everyone has their limits, including Lynch. The 49ers' GM reportedly would not part ways with the No. 2 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to acquire Odell.
