Hours after 49ers star George Kittle agreed to a record-setting contract extension, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce reportedly is getting paid too.
Kelce and the Chiefs have agreed to the parameters of a four-year contract extension, keeping him in Kansas City for the next six seasons, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Thursday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter later reported that Kelce's contract is worth $57.25 million, for an average annual value of $14.31 million per season in new money.
With Kittle receiving a five-year contract worth $75 million, Kittle's average salary of $15 million keeps the 49ers star as the highest-paid tight end in the league.
Kelce and Kittle have been tied at the hip as the top two tight ends in football, both leading their teams to Super Bowl LIV last season.

Kittle, 26, is the only tight end in 49ers history to record multiple 1,000-yard seasons. He is a two-time All-Pro selection, including first-team honors in 2019, and set the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end with 1,377 in 2018.
Kelce, 30, is a five-time Pro Bowler and has been named All-Pro four times.
