SANTA CLARA – Quarterback Colin Kaepernick will not attend the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium, a source told CSNBayArea.com.
Kaepernick wanted to go to the game, the source said, but he is still resting and recovering from Tuesday’s shoulder surgery. Doctors advised him not be walking around so shortly after surgery.
Kaepernick underwent surgery in Vail, Colorado, to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The recovery time is expected to be from four to six months. The 49ers placed him on season-ending injured reserve last Saturday.
