The A's are making some moves this offseason. But before they make a series of roster moves to their major league club, they've been keeping busy with the upcoming player development staff.

The team announced Tuesday some new and old faces will join the organization in a variety of roles.

The A's have promoted former shortstop Bobby Crosby to manager of the High-A affiliate Stockton Ports. Crosby served as a coach for Double-A Midland last season.

Crosby was drafted by the A's with the No. 25 overall pick of the 2001 MLB Draft. He then spent the majority of his eight-season career with the organization from 2003-'09 and was named the 2004 AL Rookie of the Year, when he slashed .239/.319/.426 line with 22 home runs and 130 hits in 151 games.

Another familiar face will be back with the A's in Adam Rosales. The 11-year veteran infielder spent five total seasons with the organization. He will serve as a coach for the Arizona Rookie League squads joining another former Athletic, Kevin Kouzmanoff, who will be in his second season with the Arizona League and will serve as the hitting coach.
