Correa changes Twitter cover photo after reported Giants deal

The Giants finally have got their star after agreeing to a massive 13-year, $350 million contract with Carlos Correa, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic on Tuesday night.

Although the organization has yet to make the deal official, the 28-year-old shortstop appears to have done that on his own.

Correa wasted no time, changing his Twitter cover photo to a picture of his new home, Oracle Park.

He also liked a tweet from his new teammate and Bay Area native Mitch Haniger, who signed a three-year contract with his hometown team last week, hyping up the shortstop after the reported deal.

Just like Haniger, MLB Twitter and Giants Twitter quickly reacted to the news as fans were excited for the arrival of the next star in the Bay.

After the Giants were beat out by the New York Yankees in the Aaron Judge sweepstakes, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and the front office pivoted, knowing they had to do something they had failed to do in previous years: Go big and lure a premier free agent to San Francisco.

The reported deal is not just the largest in franchise history, it's far more than what the Giants have ever committed to an entire class of players in a single offseason.

The Giants are excited, fans are excited and it appears Correa couldn't wait to make his new home public.
