SAN FRANCISCO — A popular member of the Giants’ broadcast team will be around long term.
Dave Flemming, who teams with Jon Miller on most of the team’s radio broadcasts, has a new four-year deal that will keep him with the Giants through at least 2022. The deal was first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle. According to the Chronicle, Flemming will increase his duties from 130 to 140 games per year a season from now.
"I’m really happy. I love the city and my broadcast partners and Giants fans,” Flemming told NBC Sports Bay Area. “Larry [Baer] and the front office - and Giants fans - make all of us feel like such a big part of the franchise. That makes our jobs very rewarding.”

A Stanford grad and San Francisco resident, Flemming has in recent years been one of the busiest broadcasters in America. In addition to his Giants work, he does baseball, basketball and college football for ESPN. Flemming, 42, often flies back and forth during the week, mixing it up between the Giants and his other assignments.
There was some concern within the organization and fan base that Flemming would leave for increased national work, especially when ESPN overhauled its baseball broadcast teams, but Flemming has always insisted he'll be with the Giants. This upcoming season will be his 16th as a member of their broadcast team.
