The legend of Marco Luciano continues to grow with every swing the Giants' top prospect takes. The latest video of his light-tower power has a lot of people talking, too.
Luciano, 19, hit an absolute monster home run in the fall Instructional League and followed it up with an awesome bat flip.

There's a lot to take in here. From the ear-popping crack of the bat to the celebration, everything about this video should make Giants fans really excited. Just take the words of Matt Daniels, the Giants' coordinator of pitching sciences. Daniels called Luciano's blast "quite possibly the furthest home run I’ve ever witnessed in person."
Luciano's homer came off Ryan Rolison, the Colorado Rockies' No. 2 overall prospect. It also came off the bat at 119 mph. That's over 2 mph harder than any batted ball by a major league Giants player in the Statcast era, and the only MLB player to have a higher exit velocity in a game this year was New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton.

Luciano hands-down should be considered the Giants' top prospect. The young shortstop is on the fast track to the big leagues for many reasons. His big league power is for real, and the Giants believe he won't have to change positions down the road.
