Marco Luciano and Heliot Ramos were the two prospects who got the most attention in Giants camp this spring, one because he's the top minor leaguer the organization has had in a decade and the other because he tore up the Cactus League.
Both will get some national attention next month at the All-Star Game.
Luciano and Ramos were chosen to represent the Giants in the annual All-Star Futures Game, a showcase that includes many of the sport's best prospects. The game will be played Sunday, July 11 at Coors Field, two days before the actual All-Star Game.

Luciano, 19, now is the seventh-best prospect overall, according to Baseball-America, and he is off to a hot start for Low-A San Jose. With two more homers Tuesday night, Luciano has 12 on the season, the most in his league. He has a .278/.360/.568 slash line all while playing shortstop, a position the Giants believe he can handle long term.

Ramos was charging towards the big leagues during spring training and at the start of the Double-A season, although he has slowed down in June. The 21-year-old outfielder is hitting just .163 this month, putting a dent in his overall numbers in his second stint in Double-A. Ramos is batting .236 with a .330 on-base percentage, five homers and 10 doubles.
The slump -- along with the production the Giants are getting at the big league level from a first-place lineup -- will slow Ramos' push to debut this year, but he still remains one of the best outfield prospects in baseball. He was up to No. 68 on the most recent Baseball-America list.
