Giants pitcher Tyler Anderson was ejected in the third inning of Thursday’s Giants-Mariners game for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire.
Thursday did not go as planned for Tyler Anderson.
The Giants' starting pitcher was ejected from Thursday's game against the Mariners at Oracle Park for arguing balls and strikes. A clearly frustrated Anderson let out cuss words at home plate umpire Edwin Moscoso after walking Kyle Lewis on a controversial ball four to lead off the bottom of the third inning.

It already was a rough day at the yard for Anderson, too. The lefty allowed four earned runs in the second inning alone. He now has a 5.06 ERA on the season.
The Giants certainly could have used more than two innings from Anderson. Wandy Peralta replaced Anderson in the third inning, and the bullpen will have to finish the day for manager Gabe Kapler's staff.

Entering Thursday, the Giants were 24-24. That's good for a slim lead as the final wild-card team in the National League.
