Growing up as a Giants fan, San Francisco's top pitching prospect Kyle Harrison acknowledges one main thing he learned from watching Ryan Vogelsong and Madison Bumgarner: The will to win.
"I saw the passion that they played with in 2012, 2014, and 2010 and so yeah, I can't say enough great things," Harrison said in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area's Carlos Ramírez.
Additionally, the 21-year-old Harrison said he hears all the comparisons to former Giants pitchers like Vogelsong and Bumgarner, calling it a "surreal feeling." He appreciates that he's being held in such high regard so early in his career.

SIGN UP HERE "It's awesome for them to believe in me and have that support," Harrison said. "I can't say enough great things about them."
Currently in Double-A with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the San Jose native has shown what he can do in the minors so far, at one point striking out nine batters in three innings. He has a 2.24 ERA between High-A and Double-A ball in 20 games played, all starts.
It's also entirely possible that Harrison skips Triple-A altogether to join the big league roster in the coming months as the Giants continue to pursue the final NL wild card spot.
