Bibby: Fox is best player in Kings-Warriors, can go to Finals

In their first NBA playoff appearance since 2006, the Kings have not disappointed in their first-round Western Conference playoff series against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Star point guard De’Aaron Fox, making his postseason debut, has been a large part of that. In the first two games of the NorCal showdown, Fox is averaging 31.0 points on 46.0 percent shooting, 3.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 3.5 steals in 38 minutes.

While Sacramento’s 2-0 series lead isn’t really what anyone had predicted, one familiar face in Sacramento is confident as ever in Fox and the Kings.

“I think he’s the best [player] in the series,” former Kings guard and beloved Sacramento legend Mike Bibby said on “The Carton Show” on Tuesday morning. “I mean it’s showing. If he keeps going the way he is, like I said, I have them going to the Finals if he keeps playing the way he is.”

As the defending and experienced champions, the world knows what Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and the Warriors bring to the biggest stage in basketball. How Fox would perform, was a question mark.

But now that the 25-year-old has earned the spotlight, he's shining oh so bright -- just like the Kings victory beam.

If there's anything the Warriors have shown, though, it's to never count them out. Games 3 and 4 are back on their home court at Chase Center where they thrived during the regular season.
