The Kings will look to get their fourth consecutive win when they face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, but they'll have to do so without their star point guard

De'Aaron Fox was ruled out of the contest at Paycom Center due to left wrist soreness. Second-year guard Davion Mitchell will start in his place, coach Mike Brown told reporters ahead of the game.

Sacramento is undefeated (3-0) since returning from the NBA All-Star break. The Kings played three games in four days, including a historic double-overtime win against the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena last Friday.

They now face OKC for the second consecutive game. Sacramento won the first tilt 124-115 on Sunday behind Fox's Fox's seventh straight game scoring 30 or more points.

Fox is averaging 34.4 points on an impressive 57.9 percent shooting from the field, along with 4.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.9 steals in 37.7 minutes over the seven-game stretch.

The Kings are 1-4 without Fox this season.

It will be an interesting challenge for the Kings as several teams beneath them in the West standings will be coming for them during this final stretch. Plus, it'll be a good opportunity for Mitchell who's shown glimpses of electric potential this season.

The 24-year-old is averaging 5.5 points on 44.7 percent shooting from the field, 1.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 17.8 minutes this season. But his contributions go beyond the numbers.

Mitchell's lockdown defense has improved this season and really just been fun to watch.

With Fox out on Tuesday, though, Sacramento might need a little more of an offensive push from the young guard.
