Team USA might have an unlikely vocal leader when it takes the floor for the FIBA World Cup in September.

The Kings had guard De’Aaron Fox wired for sound during Team USA’s first week of practice in Las Vegas.

Fox shows off some of the natural leadership qualities that helped make him the No. 5 overall draft pick by the Kings back in 2017.

If Fox ends up earning a national team roster spot, he almost certainly won’t be the only Sacramento King who makes the trek to China. Both Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley III also survived the first round of cuts and remain on the roster.

The Kings aren’t the only NBA team with significant representation on Team USA, as the Boston Celtics also have three players with the national team. Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum are still competing as the team’s camp shifts to Los Angeles before the first international friendly against Spain on Aug. 16.
