Haliburton serenades Kings fans during Fan Fest event

Kings Fan Fest was wiped out prior to Tyrese Haliburton's rookie season last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he wasn't able to avoid taking part in some of the festivities this year.

As part of their five-year celebration of Golden 1 Center, the Kings held a free Fan Fest at the arena in downtown Sacramento on Saturday, and Haliburton was among those that had to sing for those in attendance.

Haliburton did not disappoint, busting out a rendition of Mario's 2004 hit "Let Me Love You."

The second-year pro was impressed by his performance.

2021 first-round draft pick Davion Mitchell and training camp invitee DJ Steward also entertained the fans in G1C.

Coming off a sensational rookie season, Haliburton will be a big part of the Kings' game plan this year, and is expected to start alongside star point guard De'Aaron Fox.

In 58 games last season, Haliburton averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 30.1 minutes, and even more is expected of the Iowa State product.

The Kings hope the addition of Mitchell takes them to the next level. The No. 9 overall draft pick already has shown how much of an impact he can make on the defensive side of the ball. He helped lead the Kings to the Las Vegas Summer League championship.

It remains to be seen if Haliburton and Mitchell can help the Kings end their 15-year NBA playoff drought, but the team certainly will have fun along the way.
