Kings rookie Keegan Murray continues to show why he was drafted No. 4 overall in the NBA draft.
During Sacramento’s 82-69 summer league win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday, the 21-year-old Iowa product finished with his first double-double in a Kings uniform.
And en route to his 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field, Murray shot 50 percent from behind the 3-point line -- including a buzzer-beater trey to end the first quarter that brought spectators in Las Vegas and his teammates on the bench to their feet.

The shot gave the Kings a 10-point lead going into the game’s second quarter, and Murray sauntered off the court after beating the buzzer like it was just another day in the office.
But Murray hasn’t played like just another prospect. Friday marked his fifth straight 20-point game, and no rookie top-10 pick has averaged more than his 21.5 points per game since Damian Lillard in 2012.
He also leads the Las Vegas Summer League in total plus/minus, games played, minutes played and is third in 3-pointers made.

They’ve shown plenty of promise throughout summer league so far, and Murray’s buzzer-beater on Friday was just one of four the team made against the Suns.
Murray and the Kings will look to carry momentum into their next summer league game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday.
