The San Jose Sharks can expand on their 2-1 series lead over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday evening as the teams meet back up at Pepsi Center for Game 4 of their best-of-seven series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar told the media Thursday morning there is a chance forward Matt Calvert will rejoin Colorado’s lineup for Game 4, although he hasn’t been given the definite go-ahead to play. Calvert missed Game 3 with an upper-body injury after taking a late-game hip check from Brent Burns earlier in the series.
The Sharks are expected to roll out the same lineup as they did in their 4-2 victory over the Avs on Tuesday evening. In that game, Logan Couture tallied the sixth hat trick in Sharks playoff history and Martin Jones turned away 25 of 27 shots that came his way.
