SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks look to rebound on home ice on Saturday night as they face off against the Vancouver Canucks for the second time this week.
Team Teal is coming off a disappointing loss to the Washington Capitals in Thursday’s Valentine’s Day matchup. But they’ll get a little extra boost to their lineup on Saturday versus Vancouver with Erik Karlsson expected to return to the lineup after missing nearly a month with a lower-body injury. He rejoins the lineup as San Jose tries to take control of the Pacific Division, fighting the Calgary Flames for first place.
The Canucks completed a back-to-back swing through Southern California since hosting the Sharks in Vancouver on Monday night. After dropping a 1-0 decision to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday and defeating the LA Kings 4-3 on Thursday, Vancouver now sits one point out of a wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
This is the third time this season the Sharks and Canucks have played each other. San Jose holds a 60-48-9-6 record through 123 franchise games played against Vancouver.
