SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks are finally ready to kick off what they hope will be a long Stanley Cup playoff run. The excitement starts Wednesday night when they face the team that knocked them out of last year’s playoffs – the Vegas Golden Knights.
Team Teal finished the regular season in second place in both the Pacific Division and the Western Conference with 101 points. The Golden Knights, last year’s Western Conference champion, finished third in the Pacific Division and seventh in the Western Conference with 93 points. San Jose split their four-game regular-season series with Vegas 2-2-0, winning the final matchup in overtime on March 30, 4-3.
