Dahlen left midway during the first period of the San Jose Sharks’ 4-0 loss to the Washington Capitals. He came back for two shifts at the beginning of the second period before getting shut down for the night.
“It’s upper-body. He tried to come back in the second period, but he couldn’t,” Bob Boughner said post-game. “We’ll get it re-assessed tomorrow and know more in the morning.”
The earliest prognosis on Dahlen’s injury — the San Jose Sharks don’t practice until 11 AM on Sunday — is positive.
A source told San Jose Hockey Now before practice: “I hear it’s not too bad. Think he will be back sooner than later.”
