Manchester United-Tottenham live stream: Watch Premier League game online

The Special One returns to the Theater of Dreams on Wednesday, and the narrative potential is rich.

José Mourinho will manage against Manchester United for the first time since he was sacked last December, leading Tottenham Hotspur into Old Trafford in pursuit of their fourth consecutive win. The Mourinho leading Spurs is striking a decidedly different tone than the one who burned all his bridges on his way out of Manchester, telling reporters he has been "humbled" by his time away from the game.

Whether or not the 56-year-old truly has turned over a new leaf remains to be seen, but he has Tottenham just six points back of fourth place with attackers Dele Alli and Son Heuing-Min looking invigorated during his time in the dugout.

Mourinho's successor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is facing intense pressure. Though he has the public support of boss Ed Woodward, United enters Wednesday's match in 10th place in the English Premier League and eight points back of UEFA Champions League qualification. The Red Devils are in danger of failing to qualify for Europe's premier club competition in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the competition re-organized in 1992.

Tottenham have allowed two goals in each match under Mourinho, so Spurs are vulnerable at the back and United will have to take advantage in order to remain a top-four contender.
