Damian Lillard is one of the best players and top competitors in the NBA, and those that take their chances poking the bear do so at their own risk. Just ask Jordan Poole, who learned that lesson the hard way as a rookie.
Lillard speaks volumes with his play, but the Oakland native isn't one to back down from trash talk, either. He's much like Draymond Green in that respect, which is why it wasn't exactly shocking when the two received matching technicals for jawing at each other in the first half of the Warriors' 137-122 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
Apparently, Green was not the only Warriors player who was going back-and-forth with Lillard. Steph Curry scored a career-high 62 points and must have been letting Lillard hear it, based on what Lillard tweeted after the game.

"You can't dish it out and not be able [to] take it," Lillard tweeted, including a "respect" hashtag.
Based on the embrace he and Curry shared at the end of the game, it's safe to say those feelings are mutual.

Golden State Warriors
Lillard had ample reason to talk, as he had an impressive game in his own right with 32 points, including several baskets of a high degree of difficulty. Curry, though, stole the show and got the last laugh -- for now, at least.
The Warriors and Blazers split their first two meetings of the season. Round 3 will take place in Portland on March 3, which represents Golden State's final game of the first half of the season.
