It sounds like former Warriors guard D'Angelo Russell will not take the floor Monday night.

Minnesota Timberwolves coach Ryan Saunders on Monday morning said D-Lo is "unlikely" to face the Dubs at Chase Center.

Minnesota also will be without star big man Karl-Anthony Towns, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 15.

Russell did not play against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday when the T-Wolves snapped their four-game losing streak.

The 24-year-old is averaging 20.5 points and 5.5 assists this season while shooting 43.2 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc.

The Warriors traded Russell to the T-Wolves just before last season's NBA trade deadline in exchange for Andrew Wiggins and a 2021 top-three protected first-round pick (which becomes unprotected in 2022).

Golden State and Minnesota are scheduled to play again Wednesday night.
