For the first time in over 1,000 days, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson played in an NBA game together in the Warriors’ 126-112 win over the Wizards on Monday. And it was every bit as special as it was hyped up to be.
Curry dropped 47 points and seven 3-pointers, Thompson added 20 points and Green — returning after missing 31 games with a back injury — had a classic Draymond stat line of six points, seven rebounds and six assists. It seemed like the Warriors of 2015 through 2019 again.
After the game, the trio shared a heartwarming hug together near the bench, posing for photographers to capture the long-awaited reunion.

“[It’s been] 1,005 days since we played together,” Green said on the broadcast after the game. “Let’s celebrate that. Let’s enjoy that.”
Green added that he thought he’d return sooner than he did, but that the “two-month delay” was worth it.
“It’s great to be able to be out there with those guys, man,” Green said. “It’s a special thing we have here.”

Green entered the game midway through the first quarter to a rousing ovation, and right away he set up Curry for a three.

“Steph’s setting me up great,” Green said. “Right away he called five-out, which sent me to the post to get a pass to him and it was wide open.”
Minutes later, Green nailed a wide-open three himself on his first shot attempt.
“I’ve been working,” Green said. “I wanted to take that, see how it felt. And it felt great.”
Green was limited to 20 minutes and came off the bench as the Warriors aim to gradually ramp up his playing time. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the trio of Curry, Thompson and Green will be key in the late-season push and a deep playoff run.
