Paul Millsap remains a free agent, and the four-time All-Star should have suitors on the open market. It appears the Warriors just might be the team most locked in on possibly adding Millsap, too.
Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reported Tuesday that the Warriors are the team "most often linked" to Millsap by his league sources. Fischer also mentions that Millsap has drawn interest from the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves. But the veteran big man isn't close to a contract agreement with any of the above teams.
On Monday, the Mercury News' Wes Goldberg reported the Warriors "have not shut the door" on potentially signing the former All-Star after talking to his representation earlier this month. However, it seems the two sides aren't close to a deal.

Millsap, 36, played 56 games last season for the Denver Nuggets. He started in 36 of them, but only averaged 9.0 points per game, his lowest since the 2007-08 season. The 6-foot-7 forward also grabbed 4.7 rebounds per game and shot 34.3 percent from 3-point range.
Here's the problem: This could all come down to money, specifically the $5.9 million tax-payer mid-level exception. Fischer reported Millsap's talks with teams have been around "at or near" the TPMLE.
The Warriors, though, don't seem too interested in using that right now.
"I don't think we use it. I think we tried, we put it out there for some players we thought were difference-makers. But it's not wise, and I would almost protect Joe from himself if he said go spend it on anyone. It does cost us about $25 million to spend the $5 million, which again I laugh, I know listeners or fans don't care about that part, but we have to," Myers recently said on "Damon, Ratto and Kolsky" on 95.7 The Game.

"We have to be smart about it, we've got it in a buyout, I do think every year there's players that are bought out, if you need to spend a little more money in that market, we have it for that. But at this point, I don't foresee us using it as it looks right now."

Millsap ultimately still could become a Warrior. Just don't put your money on it right now, and don't expect the news to drop anytime soon.
