NBC Sports Bay Area unveils Warriors coverage plans, TV schedule

NBC Sports Bay Area today announced its Golden State Warriors “First Half” 2020-21 NBA regular season coverage details featuring live coverage of 31 Warriors games (16 home, 15 road), live streaming of EVERY GAME and surrounding Warriors Pre/Postgame Live coverage to authenticated subscribers via NBCSportsBayArea.com and the “MyTeams by NBC Sports” app, along with season-long, fan-focused digital/audio Warriors content offerings. (NOTE: Fans located anywhere in the U.S. can download MyTeams for free on iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.)

NBC Sports Bay Area will tip-off its 2020-21 regular season Warriors game schedule on Sunday, December 27, as the Warriors travel to face the Chicago Bulls live from the United Center in Chicago, Ill.  Game coverage begins at 4:00 pm PT with the network’s one-hour game night preview show, Warriors Pregame Live.  Featuring new host Bonta Hill (@BontaHill), who also hosts the popular The Morning Roast with Bonta, Kate & Joe show on Entercom’s 95.7 FM “The Game,” along with expert analysis from Warriors legend/five-time NBA All-Star Chris Mullin and new network addition, former Warriors forward/NBA 11-season standout Dorell Wright (@DWRIGHTWAY1), Warriors Pregame Live will provide viewers with a complete game night preview featuring player match-up breakdowns, the latest team news and interviews, a recap of the team’s first two games of the season and much more. NOTES: USA Olympic Gold Medalist/former University of San Francisco head women’s basketball coach Jennifer Azzi (@JenniferAzzi) will also deliver detailed pre/postgame analysis for select Warriors telecasts this season.  In addition, Bay Area broadcasting legend Greg Papa will host select Warriors Pre/Postgame Live airings this season, along with providing additional multiplatform game night contributions.

Warriors-Bulls game action on December 27 gets underway at 5:00 pm PT with veteran Warriors TV play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald and second-year analyst/former Warriors G-F Kelenna Azubuike (@KellenA7) delivering the always-entertaining game call.  

Returning this season, NBC Sports Bay Area Warriors reporter Kerith Burke (@KerithBurke) will provide her unique team insight and analysis across the network’s multiple-content platforms, focusing on story-telling and fan interaction.  Featured highlights in Burke’s expanded role will include exclusive Warriors interviews and content on the network’s traditional linear programming, as well as on the network’s digital platforms via articles, videos and cross-platform commentary.  In addition, Burke will expand her popular “Ask Kerith” franchise to include social media takeovers and live chats with Dub Nation throughout the season.

Immediately following every Warriors game telecast on NBC Sports Bay Area, fans can look forward to expert analysis and insight on Warriors Postgame Live presented by Toyota.  Hosted by Hill, along with analysis from Mullin/Wright/Azzi, Warriors Postgame Live will deliver live coverage of Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr’s post-game press conference, along with post-game player reaction, expanded highlights, detailed analysis, upcoming game previews and more.  To cap off the network’s game night coverage, viewers will get the hottest takes and spirited commentary from the “fans perspective” on Warriors Outsiders.  Hosted by Grant Liffmann (@GrantLiffmann) and Drew Shiller (@DrewShiller), the fan-interactive Warriors Outsiders also streams across the network’s digital platforms, including Facebook Live (Facebook.com/NBCSAuthentic), enabling viewers to send in their comments and questions directly to the Outsiders duo.

On audio, NBC Sports Bay Area delivers the newly-rebranded “Dubs Talk” Podcast presented by Wendy’s.  Hosted by Grant Liffmann, along with the network’s roster of Warriors experts, the “Dubs Talk” podcast features in-depth Warriors/NBA discussion on the hottest topics and breaking news throughout the season, along with special guest interviews featuring Warriors players/coaches/front-office personnel and additional NBA experts from coast-to-coast. PROGRAMMING NOTE: In advance of the Warriors nationally-televised season opener on Tuesday, December 22, NBC Sports Bay Area will provide fans with special Opening Night studio coverage via the one-hour special, SportsNet Central: Warriors Edition at 3:00 pm PT.  Warriors fans can look forward to additional SportsNet Central: Warriors Edition specials before and after every nationally-televised game all season long.
