E-40 says Steph is a top-three NBA player of all time

Look around a Bay Area sporting event, and there's a good chance you'll see Earl Stevens, aka E-40, at the game.

The legendary Bay Area rapper is true to his roots and a huge sports fan. He also can't wait to watch Steph Curry and the Warriors next season.

“The Warriors are going to be back," E-40 said to KPIX's DJ Sixsmith. "We got some of the younger players and they are going to be back and they are ready to play. We got it and we was good this year."

Curry had perhaps the best season of his 12-year career this year by leading the NBA in scoring with 32.0 points per game. But as Golden State again fought the injury bug, the Warriors lost twice in the NBA play-in tournament and failed to reach the playoffs.

They own two lottery picks in the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft, and are expected to compete in the crowded Western Conference with the return of Klay Thompson to join Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Co.

"I truly believe Steph and Draymond are Hall of Famers for sure," E-40 continued. "Everything Draymond does out there is smart and he might lose his temper every once in a while because he is competitive.

"I feel like Steph Curry is the GOAT. At the end of the day, they will see this man is top three for sure. They are going to see and all the kids look up to him too. They love Steph and that man do his thang.

"The kids look up to Steph like they did with Allen Iverson.”

Curry and Iverson obviously are seen much differently with their personalities, but E-40 does have a point. Just like Iverson made the game cool as a player who doesn't dominate with his size, Curry has done the same with this generation.

Whether it's top three or not, the Warriors superstar will go down as an all-time great who changed the game forever. And E-40 will be rooting for him every step of the way.
