... simply inaccurate because the four-time All-Star is absolutely in a funk when it comes to his jump shot.

So what does Steve Kerr say to his shooting guard to help him get through this?

"Very little in terms of technique. I think Klay has the best shooting technique of anybody I've ever seen in my life," Kerr said on KNBR 680 on Friday evening. "It's so pure and such a simple stroke. It would be like telling Freddie Couples how to swing a golf club.

Kerr clarifies what Warriors are asking of Kuminga amid fit concerns

Why Kerr compares relationship with Steph to Popovich-Duncan

"Where I can help Klay is just relating experiences that I've had where maybe you're going through a tough spell. What I'm gonna tell him is, 'Hey, this is normal.' I watched Michael Jordan have three or four bad shooting nights in a row.

"It doesn't matter who you are as a basketball player. No matter how great you are, you have bad spells. You just do."

Over the first seven games of the season, Klay shot 13.9 percent from distance. Then in Game No. 8 at Chicago, he went 14-for-24 from deep -- breaking Steph Curry's NBA record for most 3-pointers in a single game.

He shot 32.5 percent from 3-point range over the next 10 games before he finally found some sustained success -- 42.7 percent from Nov. 21 to Dec. 10 (10 games).

But in the last eight games, he's making triples at a 20.8 percent clip, putting him at 33.3 percent for the season.

"The mind is funny, the brain is a powerful thing," Kerr added. "Whatever it is that clicks where your brain just says, 'Oh yeah, there it is; that's what it's supposed to feel like.' And the shots start going in again.

"But it's not always easy to find that."

Klay has fantastic career numbers at Moda Center in Portland, and that's where the Warriors play on Saturday night...
