On Saturday night, the Warriors -- playing without Kevin Durant -- went into Oklahoma City and crushed the Thunder, 110-88.

On Monday morning, The Athletic's Sam Amick wrote a feature story on the Warriors, which included quotes that Markieff Morris provided last Thursday night after Oklahoma City's loss at Indiana.

Let's just say that the comments from the Thunder forward did not age well.

“They definitely had that air of invincibility (before); I can say that. I can honestly say they did. (But) you look around the league, and guys are getting better, guys are adjusting to their game. The style of play they play, they basically changed the NBA, so sooner than later guys are going to start to catch up with the way they’re going and they’re going to have to change.

“I think that’s what’s happening. Teams are figuring out how to play them different, and they definitely are. Even with Cousins, I think they’re a lot more beatable than they were in the past.”

But wait. There's more.

“With an All-Star of (Cousins’) caliber at the five man spot, he’s not an Al Horford All-Star, he’s a Embiid All-Star — a guy who needs the ball and who plays with the ball, rebounds, passes, shoots, and they have a lot of those guys. Obviously they still have one of the best records in the league, but the invincibility part is not there anymore.

Not enough basketballs. There’s only one ball. No matter how you see it, it’s never going to be easy. If Steph has got it going, Klay might take the backseat.”

After delivering his best game of the season on Wednesday at the Rockets -- 27 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals -- Cousins (who will not play Monday at the Spurs) was terrific against the Thunder.

He registered 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and zero turnovers. The four-time All-Star did stuff like this:
