Warriors sign Juan Toscano-Anderson from G League for rest of NBA season

The Warriors are adding a forward from their G League team in Santa Cruz, the team announced on Friday. 

Juan Toscano-Anderson is signing with Golden State for the rest of the season, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole on Thursday.

Marcus Thompson of The Athletic first reported the news.

The Oakland native issued the following statement to NBC Sports Bay Area's Logan Murdock:

Over 31 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, Toscano-Anderson is averaging 12.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals.

He played for Golden State's Summer League squad in 2019 and was at training camp to start this season.

The 26-year-old was mic'd up at during a Santa Cruz practice earlier this season, so be sure to watch the video above.
