Patrick Baldwin Jr.'s basketball IQ has been praised since the moment he was selected No. 28 overall by the Warriors in the 2022 NBA Draft.
The workload of Warriors training camp hasn't surprised the rookie. However, in the opening months of his professional career, the son of college basketball coach Patrick Baldwin is still learning.
His studious nature is soaking up knowledge from the game's best.

"Coming into this, I thought I was a coach’s son and I knew a lot about basketball," Baldwin said Monday. "And every day it’s Steph Curry telling you a new thing. You go back and watch the film and he’s doing it every play.
"Klay Thompson will tell you something new that you just learned. When you open your eyes to it and you watch Klay, he’s doing the same thing every play that I may have missed."
It's exactly what the Warriors had hoped for in their organizational two-timeline plan -- Curry, Thompson and Golden State's veterans teaching the youngsters while continuing to win games and hang banners.
Baldwin's star shined bright in Japan, as he went off for 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range in the Warriors' 104-95 win over the Washington Wizards.

"It’s really about listening for information, then watching them do it and applying it yourself," Baldwin said. "That’s pretty much been eye-opening for me."
Baldwin will get another chance to play alongside Curry, Thompson and the Warriors at 7 p.m. Tuesday night when the Portland Trail Blazers visit for a preseason tilt.
