It's time for Warriors fans to bust out their calendars and mark down an important date.
The NBA on Monday announced that NBA free agency effectively begins Monday, Aug. 2 at 3:00 p.m. PT.

So shortly after that time is when you will start to see tweets announcing that a player has agreed to terms on a contract with a team.
Kelly Oubre will be an unrestricted free agent, and there will be lots of discussion surrounding his future in the days and weeks leading up to Aug. 2.
Additionally, Steph Curry is eligible for a contract extension during the offseason, and perhaps a deal is struck shortly after the market opens. Then again, the sides could wait until later in the summer to come to an agreement.
As for a couple other important dates -- the draft lottery will be held June 22, while the draft is slated for July 29.

The lottery will determine whether the Minnesota Timberwolves' top-three protected 2021 first-round pick conveys to the Warriors this year, or if the Warriors instead will possess the T-Wolves' unprotected 2022 first-round selection.
And if the Warriors miss the playoffs this season, it is June 22 when they will learn the fate of their own 2021 first-rounder.
