Draymond Green's basketball IQ is among the highest in the NBA, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
The Warriors star revealed his son, Draymond Jr., prefers to rebound for Steph Curry when he stops by Golden State's practice facility.
The youngster has a very good reason.

"I understand," Green joked in a video conference with reporters Friday following Golden State's 118-97 win over the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center. "You don't gotta do that much work rebounding for Steph as you gotta do rebounding for me, so I get it. I always tell him, 'You a smart kid, man.'
"I asked him the other day -- somebody was shooting. I'm like, 'You wanna go help?' He's like, 'Nah, I wanna go help Steph!' I'm like, 'A'ight, go ahead, then, you a smart kid, man.' You know you don't wanna run or something, so you're just gonna stand under the rim and the ball coming out the rim when Steph shoot. Real smart kid, I like that. Maybe he'll be able to put that to use one day 'cause he got a good brain."
Green beamed with pride describing how his son already knows that working smart is just as important as working hard. His old man offered a perfect example of that Friday night.

The three-time All-Star scored just two points and only took three shots, but he nonetheless left his stamp on the Warriors' bounce-back win. Green dished 19 assists and hauled in 12 rebounds, becoming only the third NBA player since 1983-84 -- Rajon Rondo and Charles Oakley are the only other two -- with two or fewer points, 10 or more rebounds and 15 or more assists in a single game.
Practically a pass-only ball-handler as opposed to a pass-first one Friday, the Nuggets still had no answer for Green's play-making.
With a father who can see the game so well, no wonder Draymond Jr. knows who to flock to in shootarounds.
