The Boston Bruins' offseason makeover centers around the departure of Dougie Hamilton and Milan Lucic, and the acquisitions of Matt Beleskey, Jimmy Hayes and Zac Rinaldo.
"I really don't know what to tell you," Kevin Paul Dupont said. "[Matt Beleskey] has had one good year. Was it a great year? No. This reminds me in some ways of Marty Lapointe, when they gave Marty Lapointe five years, $25 million and were expecting a whole lot of Marty and he was a 'C' player. I hope this guy is a 'B' player."
What does Dupont think of the rest of the acquisitions?
On Hayes: "This guy's closer to a top-6 forward than Reilly Smith ever will be."
On Rinaldo: "He skates, he hits, and he agitates. They really haven't had that [type of] guy for a while. If he can do all that and not end up in the penalty box twice a game, then he's an asset."
