Morning Skate: McGuire thinks B's got short end of officiating stick

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while feeling like the taxpayers of Massachusetts saved some money today, and that’s about it.

-- Pierre McGuire gives his thoughts about the Boston-Ottawa series and what the Senators should expect in Game 4. He also believes the Bruins “got the short end of the stick” in the officiating at the end of Game 3.

-- Interesting front page from the Washington Post, where it’s clear that there is panic in the streets for the Capitals in their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

-- Kevin Bieksa is playoff tough for the Anaheim Ducks, just as he’s been throughout his career as a very hard-nosed D-man.

-- Jake Allen is giving a sense of calm to the St. Louis Blues in ways he couldn’t in the opening few months of the season.

--- USA Today said that the Chicago Blackhawks are paying the price for their “win-it-now” mentality. I might agree a bit, but this is still a much better hockey club than they’ve shown so far.

-- According to a report, Jack Eichel won’t be signing an extension with the Buffalo Sabres as long as Dan Bylsma is the head coach. Interesting that Eichel is pulling this stuff so early in his career, though it should be noted Eichel’s agent said all of this was a “fabrication.”

-- For something completely different: This Star Wars-themed hotel and experience being planned at Disney is something else for giant Star Wars nerds like me.
