WATCH: Zdeno Chara leads practice session with two Bruins teammates

A Boston Bruins player recently tested positive for COVID-19, but it apparently wasn't Zdeno Chara.

The Bruins captain led a voluntary workout Friday at Warrior Ice Arena along with fellow defenseman John Moore and center Par Lindholm, according to the team.

Here are a few photos and a video from Friday's workout, which apparently featured a shooting competition of sorts:

Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand hit the ice together earlier this week as the NHL continues Phase 2 of its restart plan, which allows groups of six or fewer to have voluntary skating sessions at team facilities.

The Bruins' return plan has been complicated by one of their players testing positive for COVID-19. General manager Don Sweeney didn't reveal who the player was Friday but said that player and anyone linked to the player via contact tracing won't be allowed at Warrior Ice Arena until they are tested next week.

That means we can rule out Bergeron, Marchand, Chara, Moore, Lindholm and any other Bruin who has been at the facility this week as the player who recently tested positive.

The B's have about a month to shake off the rust before training camp begins July 10, and it's great to see the 43-year-old Chara back on the ice as the NHL pushes forward on resuming the 2019-20 season.
